Role: Project Support
After studying Interior Design at UTS, (hurray, we now have the perfect person to advise on our next THN office revamp) Jacqui spent the next 3 years travelling the world solo, footloose and fancy free and enjoying what was truly the most educational experience of her life!
Back home in Australia, she commenced a career in book publishing, along the way working for three major international publishing houses in roles involving sales and product management at a national level, and managing major national retail accounts including Big W, Kmart, Target, Myer, David Jones, Dymocks, Borders and Leading Edge. In this role she became highly experienced at providing a great client service, managing crises, meeting tight deadlines and ensuring that the client was very satisfied – just the perfect training for a THN Project Manager! After leaving the changing world of book publishing Jacqui has more recently been involved in marketing and recruitment roles.
A Sydney Northern Beaches girl, Jacqui moved to the Central Coast nine years ago to start a life with her now husband, buying their ‘forever home’….a run-down, original cottage by the bay that she is sure most sensible people would have demolished! It is an ongoing renovation project. Most weekends she can be found at any of the Bunnings stores or garden nurseries around the Coast spending too much money!
Jacqui joined THN team in May 2017 and tells us she is enjoying the incredibly varied projects, fast pace and comradery of the team (as well as a fabulously short commute to work!).
My three favourite websites:
mrandmrssmith - for reviews
of the best luxury and boutique hotels around the globe – if they say it’s
good, it will be fabulous!
petersofkensington - one my
favourite stores for homewares – better to go there in person and rummage, but
the website is a good substitute when you can’t get there and need a fix!
an online window
shopping site that lists the most amazingly eclectic selection of hilarious and
cool products that you never knew existed.
My favourite quote: "Quality is remembered long after price is forgotten" - Aldo Gucci
My little known talent is:
I am a bit
of a green thumb and a budding garden designer.
