Rocky Mountain High


Our fantastic team members Nikki and Kathryn recently jetted off to the Boulder Colorado headquarters of Survey Gizmo (our questionnaire software supplier) to attend a 2 day “workshop”. The focus was on the latest thinking in creating online surveys that are more engaging, dynamic, and user-friendly for respondents.

The volume of surveys we script and send out makes THN one of Survey Gizmo's busiest clients and we have a great working relationship with the team in Boulder who assist us with any complex issues and tricky survey requests.

The program took place over 2 days and was jam packed with brilliantly relevant content including:

·  Scripting surveys in new ways with JavaScript and CSS to be even easier to interact with on any device

·  Utilising different question types. Including allowing respondents to interact with images, upload their own images within a survey, or drag and drop different options

·  New strategies for obtaining higher survey completion rates

·  Improved ways to re-route or terminate respondents to ensure they only see questions that are relevant to them

·  New ways of identifying respondents who are “over-reporting” in an effort to get selected for projects.

·  Understanding survey fatigue and getting the best out of survey questions

·  Scripting complex screening questionnaires with an emphasis on mobile compatibility

·  Scripting in field questionnaires covering multiple product rotations

With their heads spinning and information overload they welcomed “the rest” during the long flight home. But it was back to the office before long, planning Masterclasses to share their tips with the rest of the team and producing the best questionnaire designs for our clients.
